In 2023, the Burns Foundation went on a road show, trying to reach every kid in Lauderdale and Colbert County through the PE programs. We raised about $60,000 and donated equipment to every PE class in the two counties. So we scheduled events to help them learn how to use it.​

We did a good job and got a golf club in over 5,000 kids’ hands that first year. The problem is, we can’t be everywhere at all times. So we needed help! Adding the “Burns Bucks” program allows us to incentivize the local High School programs to develop the younger kids. Burns Bucks help us:

• Structure our donations

• Hold schools accountable

• Donate way more money to them 

• Give extra support to the schools who put in the effort

We will support every program as much as we can, but we reserve extra support for schools and teams who go the extra mile! We’ve learned that some schools get really engaged, and some do not. We won’t push anymore. We will just pour into the ones who are putting the effort into the kids and the community.
