​Dear Players and Families,

 

We are excited to officially announce the qualification process for the 2026 AJGA “Visiting The Shoals All Star Event,” which will be held June 22 to June 25, 2026 at Cypress Lakes Golf and Country Club.

 

In partnership with the AJGA and Cypress Lakes, we will award one boys exemption and one girls exemption for ages 13 to 15 through a structured Simulator Championship Qualifier.

 

After carefully considering the busy spring schedule including school matches, spring sports, and our existing junior programs, we have designed a format that is competitive, focused, and respectful of players’ time.

 

2026 AJGA Simulator Qualifier | Four Week Championship Window

 

• One defined four week qualifying period  

• Three rounds required to qualify  

• Optional fourth round with best three scores counting  

• Lowest three round cumulative score earns the exemption  

• Separate divisions for boys and girls  

• Yardages set to replicate AJGA tournament setup  

 

This format mirrors the feel of multi round tournament golf while avoiding a long volume based series. The goal is to create a focused championship experience, not an extended league.

 

Tournament Conditions

 

All rounds will be played under standardized tournament settings:

 

• Stroke play format  

• AJGA replica yardages  

• Five foot gimmes with no auto putt  

• Fixed green speed and firmness  

• No mulligans or restarts  

• Round must be completed in one sitting  

• Scores verified by facility staff  

 

Courses, yardages, and official settings will be published in advance so families can plan accordingly and players can prepare.

 

Why Simulator Qualification?

 

Using simulator technology allows us to provide:

 

• Identical playing conditions for all participants  

• A transparent and objective scoring format  

• A consistent tournament setup regardless of weather or course availability  

• An accessible pathway for local juniors to earn a national level opportunity  

 

This qualifier is not intended to replace green grass competition. Instead, it offers a fair and structured way to earn an exemption during the peak of school golf season.

 

Our goal is simple.  

Create a meaningful opportunity that is earned, competitive, and respectful of the busy spring calendar while continuing to grow junior golf in our community.
